The CUCOH (Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Healthcare) Dalhousie Chapter would serve as a local extension of CUCOH, the largest student-run undergraduate healthcare conference in Canada. Our primary purpose is to empower students with an interest in healthcare by creating opportunities for academic and professional development through participation in CUCOH 2027 at Queen’s University. The annual CUCOH conference brings together over 150 students from more than 10 universities Canada-wide, offering keynote addresses, workshops, case challenges, research competitions, networking sessions, and information fairs. On campus, the CUCOH Society would reflect these strengths by organizing local activities that create a community of students who share a passion for healthcare. The end goal for the society is to coordinate a group attendance at CUCOH 2027, ensuring that students at Dalhousie University have a clear and accessible pathway to participate in this national event. In order to make participation at the conference accessible, the society will lead fundraising initiatives to help offset costs for attendees. In addition, we aim to collaborate with other student organizations on campus that focus on health and wellness, creating opportunities for interdisciplinary projects and fostering a stronger healthcare-oriented student community. We are confident that the CUCOH Society will become a valuable addition to our campus community and will play a vital role in preparing students for their future careers in healthcare.
