Law
The Dalhousie Black Law Students’ Association (“DBLSA”) is an organization dedicated to promoting and assisting Black students in the pursuit of a legal education. It seeks to increase opportunities for Black law students and enhancing student life at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. Overall, DBLSA aims to bridge the gap between the legal community and Canada’s Black community, specifically Nova Scotia’s Black community. Student members are involved by attending events, participating in fundraising and participating in professional development. DBLSA is dedicated to cultivating strong communal bonds, fostering positive and lasting relationships, and providing meaningful support for future students. Our vision is to build on the foundation of past initiatives and relationships to strengthen our Chapter and ensure its continued growth. DBLSA aspires to create a legacy of empowerment, connection, and opportunity that enriches the experiences of Black law students at the Schulich School of Law, while also contributing to the broader Black community in Nova Scotia.
