Dalhousie Chess Club

The Dalhousie Chess Club is dedicated to building a welcoming and competitive chess community for Dalhousie students and the broader Halifax community. Our club provides opportunities for players of all skill levels to learn, compete, and connect through a variety of chess-related activities. We host regular social events and casual meetups that encourage members to improve their game, make new friends, and enjoy chess in a relaxed and inclusive environment. In addition to weekly socials, the club organizes tournaments, outreach initiatives, and collaborative events that help promote chess both on and off campus. We are proud to represent Dalhousie University at inter-university competitions, where our teams compete against students from across the region and beyond. Through these events, the Dalhousie Chess Club aims to foster strategic thinking, sportsmanship, and a strong sense of community among chess enthusiasts.
