Dalhousie Iranian Student Society (DISS)

Our society is a non-profit, student-led organization dedicated to celebrating Iranian culture, supporting our community, and promoting cultural diversity within Dalhousie University and the broader Halifax community. Each year, DISS organizes cultural events, each attended by over 350 guests. Our most anticipated celebration is the Yalda Ceremony, a vibrant cultural night featuring music, art, and traditional Persian performances. The other most important cultural event is the Nowruz (Persian New Year).
