Dalhousie Management Society (DMS)

The Dalhousie Management Society (DMS) represents the best interests of Bachelor of Management students, supporting social, formal, charitable, and community initiatives that provide learning and growth opportunities for students. DMS fosters authentic connection opportunities for Bachelor of Management students to connect with each other, working professionals, and the local community, while providing clear insights to students looking to expand their exposure and network. The society also provides students with the opportunity to learn, adapt, and expand their comfort zone while gaining hands-on experience in planning initiatives that increase real-world exposure and connection. There are currently 25 confirmed DMS members for the 2026/2027 academic year, though this number will increase significantly in September. DMS plays a very important role in the Dalhousie student community, supporting student engagement and initiatives that foster growth and connections relevant to Dalhousie's Bachelor of Management program. DMS creates opportunities for students to meet each other, meet and hear from working professionals, connect with the local business community, and also give back to the community through fundraisers, drives, and volunteering. Participating in society events allows for deep connection between fellow students, supporting positive, meaningful relationships that carry forward throughout engagement in the Bachelor of Management program. Having opportunities to support student connection is vital to program experience recognized by students, and DMS enables an environment where students feel empowered. The significant positive effects of this reflect the great importance of DMS, in both contributing to the Dalhousie student community, and the Bachelor of Management program experience.
