Dalhousie Pre-Med Society (DPMS)

The Dalhousie Pre-Med Society (DPMS) was created with the goal of supporting Dalhousie students interested in pursuing a career in medicine. For many pre-med students, the journey to medical school can be difficult. Between maintaining a good GPA, participating in extracurriculars, and navigating things like the MCAT and medical school applications, many feel overwhelmed. Our society hopes to change that through engaging activities, providing resources, and creating community. DPMS supports students through events such as Ask a Dal Med Student, information sessions with Dalhousie Medical School Admissions, and mentorship. Healthcare is at a turning point in Nova Scotia; We need doctors now more than ever, but in order to get those doctors, we must support them every step of the way, and that is what DPMS hopes to do.
