Dalhousie's Women in Technology Society (WiTS)

The Dalhousie Women in Technology Society (WiTS) aims to increase diversity and student engagement by promoting equality of gender, race, and culture within STEM fields. Furthermore, we support and celebrate the accomplishments of female- and nonbinary- identifying Dalhousie students in technology, creating a space where they feel empowered and recognized. Through events, workshops, and outreach initiatives, we help bring more awareness and access to tech opportunities for our community. Our members engage with WiTS by volunteering at and attending the variety of educational and career-centered programs we run throughout the year. Through this, our society gives students a chance to enhance their skillsets and build lasting networks, making a difference in the tech world as a result. WiTS is an important part of the Dalhousie community, helping to create a more supportive and welcoming environment in technology by empowering underrepresented communities within this field.
