Dalhousie Smash Bros. Society

The Dalhousie Smash Bros. Society has been a successful society for over 7 years, hosting tournaments for the video game Super Smash Brothers Ultimate weekly. We provide a safe and organized place where students and people outside of Dalhousie are able to compete against each other in a double elimination style bracket every week. The events themselves range from 15-50 players depending on the time of year and outside interest from other neighboring universities. These events are ran in-person, broadcasted live, and provide a competitive outlet for a competitive game that players around HRM can enter under a structured environment while maintaining their competitive nature. For internal members, online tournaments are entered against other universities in North America to compete in collegiate events. These events allow team bonding either in person or over a voice call to strategize and collectively compete against other teams online once a week. These are entered per fall and winter semesters at Dalhousie and are great opportunities for new members that join to meet the team and grow as both a player and a person as they're integrated into the team over the collegiate games.
