Dalhousie Society of Immunology and Microbiology Students (SIMS)

Dalhousie Society for Immunology and Microbiology Students (SIMS) is a student-led initiative and representation for all students at Dalhousie University in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology within the Faculty of Medicine. As a society, we aim to create a positive environment and provide a multitude of both research and other possibilities for anyone interested in microbiology, immunology, and related sciences. As an academic society, SIMS links students to faculty members, provides information about courses and opportunities in the department, and allows for inter-societal connections. Throughout the school year, we provide various opportunities for students to interact with faculty and department members, such as at our annual Wine & Cheese event and with our upcoming series of interviews with faculty members. Students are given ample opportunities to get involved with the society through fundraising and event planning, in addition to peer-led tutoring sessions and study groups.
