Dalhousie Solar Car Team

We are a multidisciplinary, student-led team of engineering and computer science students that designs, builds, and races our 100% solar-powered electric vehicle, NOVA. After three years of hard work, we became the first team from Atlantic Canada to compete in the 2023 Formula Sun Grand Prix (FSGP). Our mission is to promote the study, development, and application of renewable energy technologies, with a focus on solar power as a practical and sustainable alternative to current energy practices. Through outreach initiatives, educational events, and our social media platforms, we aim to engage the community, showcase the potential of green technology, and inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers. In 2024, we returned to the FSGP with an outstanding performance in Scrutineering. Now, as we develop a brand-new vehicle, we have our sights set on FSGP 2027.
