The Dalhousie Tennis Club looks to provide a place for Dalhousie students to compete in tennis against other Universities at a high level. We look to create a community of students with similar interests and provide a space for physical activity. The Tennis Club represents Dalhousie when competing against other schools, providing a positive image for the school and its students. The men's and women's clubs have each qualified and competed at Nationals for the past four years, an event that only four teams across Canada qualify for. For the past few years, a Dalhousie player has won the sportsmanship award at the national tournament, exhibiting how well the club represents the school on the national stage. Student members are involved in our society through a number of roles. Many members are just there to play tennis and compete; however, all executive roles are student-filled. These roles include President, Treasurer, Vice President Internal, and Vice President External. The Dalhousie Tennis Club is important, as it provides a space to build community for students by allowing members to continue with their athletic careers during their time at university in a team-based environment.
