Dalhousie Undergraduate Math and Statistics Society (DUMASS)

We aim to help all students taking an undergraduate degree in mathematics and/or statistics at Dalhousie in their academic and social lives. We exist also as a bridge between the undergraduates and the rest of our department, connecting students and professors, advocating on their behalf. DUMASS advertises helpful opportunities such as conferences, seminars, co-ops, and undergraduate research experiences. As a society, we also intend to offer lots of events to bring our community together. These include board game nights for socializing, booked off study times, and potential craft nights to distress from a rather stressful degree. In general, create a good social environment to be a math or stats student along with providing academic support. Math and stats are stressful degrees and so DUMASS exists to make the university experience more easy and fun.
