Dalhousie University Hidden Curriculum Society (DUHC)

Student Services

The Dalhousie Undergraduate Hidden Curriculum Podcast (DUHC Podcast) is a student-led society dedicated to helping students navigate the “hidden curriculum” of professional and academic success. Through biweekly podcast episodes, the society provides accessible career development content that is often not taught in traditional classrooms, including mentorship advice, study strategies, summer opportunities, and insights into professional programs. Since its founding, DUHC has released over 50 episodes featuring interviews with students and professionals from medicine, dentistry, nursing, respiratory therapy, physician assistant studies, engineering, law, research, and other graduate disciplines. By highlighting diverse educational and career pathways, the podcast encourages students to explore opportunities they may not have otherwise considered while fostering connections across faculties and professions. As the society continues to expand its interviews and content to additional disciplines, DUHC aims to broaden its impact and strengthen interdisciplinary engagement within the Dalhousie community.
