Halifax Research Information Outreach Team (RIOT)

The Halifax Research Information Outreach Team (RIOT) aims to highlight the progress and promise of cancer research. We are a group of graduate student researchers at Dalhousie working in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS). RIOT chapters have been established across Canada to communicate the intricacies of cancer research to a broad audience. Halifax RIOT is the first chapter to be established in the Maritimes. RIOT is unique because members are actively involved in cancer research, and can share their expertise and experiences. Halifax RIOT leads and coordinates events according to the CCS mission and policies. We engage with students, members of the public, and clinical communities to promote awareness and interest in cancer research.
