Marine Affairs Student Society (MASS)

The Marine Affairs Student Society (MASS) aims to promote a sense of camaraderie amongst Dalhousie’s Master of Marine Management (MMM) students by hosting social events throughout the year. MASS also aims to get MMM students out into nature by hosting events such as monthly hikes, picnics, and beach trips. Student members are invited to contribute ideas for events, such as suggesting hike locations. MASS is important because our events are not only beneficial to students’ mental health, but they remove the financial burden associated with exploring the outdoors in Halifax and the surrounding region.
