NSPIRG Mandate - to link research with action for social and environmental justice within an Anti-Oppression framework. NSPIRG operates independently as a levied society of the Dalhousie University and the University of King's College Students Unions. NSPIRG is also a community non-profit which focuses on connecting campus and community, and students and the wider communities. The goal of NSPIRG is to link research with action on issues of social justice and environmental concern. Through outreach, advocacy, community networking, lobbying, research, working groups, proactive education and the publication of materials, NSPIRG provides information that will empower community members to become active participants in decisions that affect their lives. Student members can engage with NSPIRG through a variety of ways: coming to events, engaging with our educational social media campaigns, volunteering, becoming a research lead, facilitating workshops, joining working groups, receiving funding for projects and becoming a member of our Board of Directors!
